Inspired by Fosbury. Built to Redefine.
At the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, a young civil engineering student from Oregon forever changed the sport of high jump. Unable to master the conventional “straddle” technique, Dick Fosbury reimagined the problem: what if the key was not raw power, but lowering the center of gravity at the jump’s peak?
Through experimentation, observation, and perseverance, he developed the now-legendary Fosbury Flop - a back-first technique that defied convention and won him Olympic gold. Today, it’s the universal standard. At XQtiv Consulting, we draw inspiration from Fosbury’s mindset. Executive search, like sport, needs rethinking - not more of the same.
